We collect information to provide and improve our Service. The types of information we collect depend on how you use our Service.
A. Information You Provide to Us
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password, and chosen account type (Personal or Business). If you create a Business account, we also collect your business name.
- Profile Information: You may choose to provide additional information for your profile, such as a profile picture, a bio, and links to your social media accounts.
- User Content: We collect the content you create and post on the Service, including listings for jobs, marketplace items, services, and rentals. This includes titles, descriptions, photos, pricing, location data, and any other details you provide.
- Communications: We collect the content of messages you send and receive through our in-app chat feature. We also collect information from you when you report a listing or user, or when you contact us for support.
B. Information We Collect Automatically
- Usage Information: We collect information about your activity on the Service, such as the types of listings you view or engage with, features you use, and the date and time of your activity.
- Device and Technical Information: We collect device tokens (FCM Tokens) to send you push notifications if you have enabled them. We may also collect standard log data, such as IP address and browser type.
C. Information from Third Parties
- Google: If you sign up or log in using your Google account, we receive information from Google, such as your name, email address, and profile picture, as permitted by your Google profile settings.
- Subscription Providers: If you subscribe to a premium plan, we receive information from our third-party payment and subscription management provider (RevenueCat) to confirm your subscription status, plan type, and expiration date. We do not directly collect or store your payment card information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To Provide and Maintain the Service: To create and manage your account, host your User Content, enable communication between users, and process your subscriptions.
- To Personalize Your Experience: To show you relevant listings and content based on your saved home location and activity.
- For Safety and Security: To verify accounts, moderate content, investigate suspicious activity, and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
- To Communicate With You: To send you transactional notifications (e.g., listing approvals, new inquiries), respond to your support requests, and, if you opt-in, send you marketing and promotional communications.
- To Improve Our Service: To analyze usage trends, understand our user base, and develop new features and services.
- To Power AI Features: If you use our AI Enhancement feature, we use the text you provide to generate an enhanced description for your listing.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- With Other Users: Your public profile information (name, profile picture, bio, and social links if provided) and your User Content (listings) are visible to other users of the Service.
- With Third-Party Service Providers: We share information with third parties who perform services on our behalf, including:
- Google Cloud For cloud hosting, database management, authentication, analytics, and location services.
- Google Gemini: To provide the AI Enhancement feature. Only the text of the description you submit is sent for processing.
- RevenueCat: To manage and process subscriptions.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if we believe it's required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of RubyLink, our users, or the public.
4. Your Data Rights and Choices
You have choices and control over your information.
- Account Information: You can review and update your profile information at any time through your account settings.
- Marketing Communications: You can opt out of receiving promotional emails by following the "unsubscribe" link in those emails. You can manage your push notification preferences in your device settings and within the app.
- Chat Deletion: To protect privacy and manage data storage, chat conversations and their messages are automatically and permanently deleted 30 days after their creation date.
- Account Deletion: You can delete your account at any time through the app's settings. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your profile, listings, and all associated personal data from our systems. This action cannot be undone.
5. Data Security
We are committed to protecting your information. We use industry-standard technical and administrative security measures and rely on the robust security infrastructure of our cloud provider, Google Cloud, to safeguard your data. While we take significant steps to protect your information, we encourage you to use a strong password and take precautions to protect your personal data.
6. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for or directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as possible.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
